Supagroup: Rules

> SUPAGROUP: RULES
Supagroup wants you to bang your head with Rules.

By Allison M. Counasse
Music Writer

New Orleans' Supagroup brings their raucous rock show to Erie's Warner Theatre on Sunday, October 9, 2005 when they open for the legendary Alice Cooper.

Supagroup is comprised of brothers Chris Lee (vocals) and Benji Lee (guitars), Michael Brueggen (drums), and Leif Swift (bass). Their rowdy, rule-breaking album Rules bristles with head-banging intensity, but their lyrics seethe with sleaze. Song titles include "Bastard," "Let's Go (Get Wasted)," and "It Takes Balls." You get the picture.

I'm still not sure if they're serious, but I am sure that they're serious about rocking out. 70s rock fans whose ears perk up at the sounds of Alice Cooper, KISS, or vintage Van Halen might enjoy this CD, as would fans of The Darkness and Spinal Tap.
