Steven Spielberg can
make sci-fi (Minority Report), thrillers (Jaws), drama (Schindler's
List), and here light comedy, as good as anyone else in the biz! It helps
to have a top-notch cast like DiCaprio and Hanks. Even though DiCaprio's character
is breaking law after law, he does it with such grace and confidence that
you can't help but root for him. Tom Hanks, as the frustrated detective on
his trail, does equally great. Walken and the rest of the supporting cast
will be mostly over-looked but many turn in solid performances as well. This
film is good whole-hearted fun! Frank Abagnale Jr's story is shocking and
makes for a great day at the Cineplex. I would recommend this film to anyone! (03-0108) |
